Locations and times
Below are the locations and times we offer the weekly program sessions:
AFTER your talent id caMP
Our Talent ID camps are a small snapshot of the sessions we run at the Melbourne United Basketball Academy. Head Academy Coach Nathan Crosswell and our Academy coaching staff evaluate each player on their skills and ability to pick up new concepts. Within 48 hours of your Talent ID camp, the Academy team will reach out to let you know if you have been selected into the Development Program or Performance Program.
Development Program
Performance Program
The Development Program has a major focus on helping athletes improve and level up their game, while playing the Melbourne United way. Players will have the opportunity to progress from the Development Program to the Performance Academy as they progress through the program.
The Performance Program aims to develop athletes, mirroring the Melbourne United basketball program. The program uses United's terminology and style of play, allowing athletes to train and develop their game just like the NBL players do.
Pricing
The programs will run for 8-9 weeks and start during week 2 or 3 of each school term (dependant on venue).
Development Program: $45 per session
Performance Program: $60 per session

Play Day & Combine
Development Program
At the end of each term, all athletes from the Development Program will have an opportunity to come together and scrimmage in a round robin tournament.
Performance Program
At the end of each term, all athletes from the Performance Program will have an opportunity to come together and complete performance and fitness testing with an elite testing company. In addition, they will also compete in a scrimmage in the afternoon.
Evaluation and elevation
At the conclusion of each term, our coaching staff will re-evaluate each athlete.
Athletes who have shown growth and potential over the term will be elevated to the Performance Program.
Athletes in the Performance Program will continue to work on their skills, with focus on areas of improvement recognised by coaches during the term.
Note: We do not offer session in the evenings or Friday morning to avoid clashes with representative basketball.
